Into the Woods nips at the heels of Legally Blonde as the largest show I have ever built. The sheer number of steel frames that needed to be bent, cut, and welded was immense and the stage floor slips required an immense precision of installation. But for me, the shining star was the princess tower.

Princess Castle: From Tree to Tower
To convert the Tree Platform into a Princess Tower, we installed a reveal to build out the tower, which we then sheeted to create castellations. We attached OSB reveals to these castellations to give the impression of stone blocks, and then attached foam blocks carved to look like stones to the underside of the castellations. We then attached a portion of Sanotube to create the turret and cut out the window.
